Lampasas, TX — Lampasas County Sheriff's Office has arrested two more men believed to be involved in the shooting death of a Central Texas man.
On January 28, authorities arrested Donnely Frank Richey, 27, of Lampasas and Jason Lee Martell, 38, of Lampasas. Both men have been charged with murder and are being held in the Lampasas County Jail.
According to a press release issued by the sheriff's department, "Investigators now believe that all parties involved in the offense have been identified and arrested or questioned."
Authorities have also arrested Bobby Ray Stratton, 22, and Frank James Muns, 30, in connection to the shooting.
Officials say Curtis Lee Shed Jr., 43, of Copperas Cove was traveling, along with two other men, to a location on Lampasas County Road 3300 when they got into an altercation with a group of other individuals, shortly after midnight on January 27. Gunshots were then fired, and Shed was struck, along with one of his companions. Shed's companions then reportedly fled back to Copperas Cove in the vehicle where Shed's body was located after a 911 call. The companions left the area prior to law enforcement's arrival.
Investigators discovered the two men with Shed were Stratton and Muns. Muns had been shot and was transported to Scott and White Hospital for treatment. Stratton has been charged with murder for his involvement in the death of Shed. Charges are still pending against Muns.
Shed's body has been sent to the Dallas Medical Examiner for autopsy. The vehicle in which Shed, Stratton, and Muns were occupying has been sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab in Austin for forensic processing.
