Waco Police are investigating a late-night shooting Monday night that left a Waco man with a gunshot to wound to the chest.

Officers responded to a 911 call at the 2000 block of Proctor Avenue in Waco just before 2:30 A.M.

Witnesses say a 2004 Maroon Ford Crown Victoria with a bullet hole and flat tires came to a stop.

Two men then got out and tried to flee the scene.

One of the men, 32-year-old Roy Harbert, had been shot in the chest.

He waived down by standers to help call an ambulance.

The other man described as a black male has not yet been found.

Police are still investigating what exactly happened.
