Bellmead man arrested for car jacking SUV at knife point

Bellmead, TX — Bellmead police have arrested a Bellmead man accused of stealing a vehicle at knife point.
Gerald Wayne Harvey, 41, was arrested Thursday.
According to the police report, the car jacking occured around 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Police received a call and responded to the 4100 block of Bellmead Drive. Once they arrived, the victim reported that he was held at knife point and his wallet, cell phone, and vehicle were taken. The victim gave a description of the suspect to police.
Bellmead police matched the descriptionof the suspect to Harvey. Harvey was located at a home in the 400 block of Campground, along where a stolen GMC SUV was parked at. When identifying all occupants in the home, Harvey was identified and questioned about the carjacking. After speaking with Harvey, he was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, which is a first degree felony.
The reportedly stolen SUV was released to the McLennan County Sheriff's Department, and the two other occupants at the residence were arrested for outstanding warrants.
