The Baylor Bears came away with a 49-26 win over UCLA Thurday night in the Holiday Bowl and the city of Waco is already feeling a local economic impact.

George’s in Waco was packed all night Thursday. The manager said the bowl game supplied one of the best nights for the restaurant all year.

Today W Promotions, a local T-shirt and promotions company, began
selling new Holiday Bowl champion shirts.

Owners of the company said Baylor’s recent success has kept sales up, which in turn, keeps money in the local economy.

"We had designs approved before the game just in case," said Davin Alexander of W Promotions. "As soon as
Baylor won, we had our staff come in and print them this morning. So they are hot off the press and in our
stores ready to go.”

The owners are already eyeing another championship from the Lady Bears basketball program to keep up the
businesses' momentum.
