Waco, TX — It has been more than a month since vandals destroyed dozens of headstones and figurines at the Oakwood Cemetery in Waco.
And this week, a local surveillance company has donated a system of cameras to prevent future crime.
Bob Bond is the owner and founder of Financial Equipment Corporation in Waco.
His mother and father are both resting at the historic cemetery.
The community has raised almost 10-thousand dollars for a reward leading to an arrest.
Wanting to help out, Bond is doing what he can to possibly prevent another crime.
This week a network of cameras have been installed throughout the area.
“I thought it was a really bad deal. It was a travesty at the cemetery," said Bond. "It’s hallowed ground to me and a lot of people. My secretary’s mother is there. My mother and dad are there- a lot of people in Waco. And this needed to be done. It needed to be stopped.”
Police are still investigating and asking anybody with information to please come forward.
