Teenager charged in Temple murder case

Temple, TX — Temple Police have released the identity of a teenager they believe to be responsible for the murder of a 34-year-old Temple man.
Cedric J. Lilly, 17, has been booked into the Bell County Jail where he is being held in connection to the fatal shooting of Temple resident, Michael Lamar Green, 34.
On November 9, 2012 at about 9:20 P.M, Temple Police responded to a call at the 300 block of South 32nd Street. Upon arrival, officers found Temple Fire and Rescue trying to resuscitate Green in his home’s front room.
Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
Temple PD identified a juvenile as a suspect on November 10, 2012. He was taken into juvenile detention that same day.
On Tuesday, Cedric J. Lilly was transferred from juvenile detention to Bell County Jail where he is facing prosecution as an adult.
Police are still investigating motives and circumstances that led to the murder.
