3 teens arrested in connection with robberies

On Thursday at around 3:00 a.m., a citizen called police to report that he had been robbed by three black males in a small green car near 25th and Cole in Waco.

He told officers one suspect had a pistol and another had a rifle. A short time later another citizen called to report he was robbed around 42nd and Austin by the same three people.

Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description in the 900 block of Wooded Acres. Through investigation, officers were able to determine it was the vehicle involved in the robberies. Inside the vehicle were 19-year-old Demond Isabell of Waco, 19-year-old Jeremy Young of Waco, and a 16-year-old juvenile. Officers did recover the property taken in the robberies and located the weapons used.

Isabell and Young were booked into the McLennan County Jail on two counts of aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime. The juvenile was transported to the Bill Logue Juvenile detention center on the same charges.
