WACO -- 70 pounds of cocaine was found hidden in a truck's gas tank. It's one of the biggest seizures of cocaine in Waco.

Police pulled over Ramon Castro Wednesday just north of Waco for a routine traffic stop.

That's when they noticed something strange and asked to to search Castro's truck.

A police k-9 sniffed out the drugs found floating in the gas tank.

They say Castro was headed to Dallas with the drugs from Del Rio.

DPS says more and more drug seizures like this are signs of a bigger problem.

"All it shows to us is that we do have a drug trafficking problem in the state of Texas. If we didn't have a drug problem in the first place, we wouldn't have this problem," says Cpl. Morgan.

Cpl. Morgan says the only way to stop the problem is to stop drug use: no demand, no need for supply.

The 70 pounds of cocaine have a street value of almost $800,000. The drugs have been turned over to investigators.
