COLLEGE STATION -- A few weeks ago we told you about the uncertain future of the state's 7on7 tournament usually held on A&M's campus but a decision has finally been reached.
It looks like the tournament will be held for one last time on the Aggie campus despite a new ruling by the NCAA banning these types of competitions on division one campuses.
Kinda Fry with the Convention and Visitors Bureau says they're extremely pleased with the NCAA's decision to allow the tournament.
"I'm excited that we're going to be able to share Bryan-College Station one last time and share Texas A&M's campus one more time especially with the new Penberthy upgrade. We are really going to do it right this year."
Fry says the bureau is already working on their bid for next year's tournament to make sure this isn't the last time College Station will host the competition
