Authorities charge 2 with organized criminal activity

On October 4th at approximately 2:08 AM, officers responded to an apartment complex located in the 1700 block of Harvey Mitchell Parkway for a report of a suspicious person. The caller reported seeing individuals attempting to open the doors of multiple vehicles in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Joshua Hill and Ryan Alderink. Further investigation revealed that Hill and Alderink along with another individual had come to the apartment complex to break into vehicles. As officers looked into the vehicle that Hill and Alderink arrived in they discovered multiple items of property that appeared to have been stolen. As a result of information gathered by officers and detectives investigating this case, a search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s apartment located in the 3800 block of Wellborn Road, Bryan, Texas. During a search of the suspect’s apartment, the following items were located and taken into evidence.

22 GPS units Power cords
7 Radar detectors 2 Car stereos
3 Digital cameras Shotgun shells
7 iPod music players Remote start wiring harness
6 TAMU hang tags Black metal jewelry
1 Mossberg shotgun 1 Woman’s purse
3 credit/debit cards Misc receipts
12 Pairs sunglasses without cases 1 Car stereo faceplate
7 Pairs sunglasses with cases 2 Backpacks
1 Bow fishing rig 1 Blinn hang tag
2 Golf club sets 3 Calculators
2 Golf drivers 1 Empty sunglass case
1 Flashlight 1 knife
1 bag of gaming items 4 laptops
1 digital scale 6 Misc clothing items
Small ziplock baggies 1 Pair gray boots
Victoria Secret lingerie Various items of drug paraphernalia

It should be noted that the investigation revealed that all of the items stolen were taken from unlocked vehicles. The investigation into this case continues and additional charges and arrests are possible. At this time, Hill and Alderink have been charged as follows:

Joshua Chandler Hill
19 years of age
Bryan resident

Charged with:
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity
Credit/Debit Card Abuse
Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ozs.
Burglary of a Vehicle

Ryan Scott Alderink
20 years of age
North Richland Hills resident
