Authorities searching for sexual assault suspect

Killeen Police are investigating a home invasion in the 6400 block of Marble Falls Drive on Friday, October 21, 2011. Once the suspect was inside the residence, he attempted to sexually assault the female resident.

Officers responded to a residence in the 6400 block of Marble Falls Drive after receiving a 911 call at approximately 8:30am telling them a Hispanic male broke into the residence and attempted to sexually assault the female victim. The victim advised she had just arrived home and came out her bedroom when she was confronted by a heavyset Hispanic male wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt. The suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to sexually assault her; she was able to fight the attacker off and in doing so scratched his face and or neck area. The suspect is described as a dark skinned Hispanic Male in his 40’s with dark hair and a handlebar mustache with the ends curved downward. He is reported to be 5’6” to 5’7” tall has a heavyset build with a large belly; he also predominately spoke the Spanish language. He had paint and white dust on his clothing as if he works as a painter or in construction. He was seen driving a navy blue Toyota style single cab small pickup with a shallow dent on the passenger side.
