Authorities searching for weekend gunman

Two people that were shot Sunday have been identified as 44-year-old Andrew Hobbs of Benbrook and 43-year-old Bobby Stephens of Waco.

The suspected shooter is 60-year-old  Richard Blake Ray. He is described as 5’9", 215 lbs, Gray hair and Blue eyes from Benbrook Texas. Ray was last known to be driving a 98 Dodge, black over gray pick-up truck bearing Texas license plate 60SVZ3. Ray is currently wanted for the two counts of attempted murder stemming from yesterdays shooting.

Police have discovered that Ray had worked in the past as a part-time employee for Andrew Hobbs at Hobbs’ medical equipment company. Richard Blake Ray is also Hobbs’ Father-in Law.

Law enforcement is searching for Richard Ray, but at this point, his whereabouts are unknown.

Police are encouraging anyone with information on where he is to contact their local police department or Waco Police at 254-750-7500. Callers can also contact Crimestoppers at 254-753-4357. Callers do not have to reveal their identity.
