WACO -- Baylor has had it's share of triumphs this year and an increase in admission applications proves more high school students want to be a part of the University's success.
Baylor has seen a 14-percent rise in the number of admission applications for next school year.
But for know, school officials tell us they're not sure if Baylor will be admitting any more students than last year.
The half billion dollars invested into new academic and residential facilities has fueled the increase.
However, they say it's Baylor's athletic success that has put them on the map.
"The athletic success certainly has unleashed great enthusiasm for Baylor University. And another thing that is has done is raise the profile of Baylor University. It's raised awareness of our national brand throughout the country," Director of Communications at Baylor, Lori Fogleman said.
Thirty percent of applications are from out of state students, up 10-percent from last year.
A quarter of this year's freshman class was from out of state.
