Baylor University is at the beginning stages of a new 10 year strategic plan. The revisions will maintain the schools current mission, while getting input from the Baylor community.
The mission of Baylor is to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service, by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment, within a caring community. This mission will not be altered during the strategic planning process.
Elizabeth Davis, Baylor University Provost, says " we have organized a strategic framework for our folks to provide input around the ideas of education, our undergraduate, graduate, and also our scholarly activities."
On-campus discussions will take place within departments, schools, administrative units, and student organizations, as well as in multi-disciplinary groups. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to share their input during these meetings.
People can also write their recommendations on the strategic planning Website. Those recommendations will then be sent to the Strategic Themes Committee, and made available to the Baylor community on the Website.
This process will result in a drafted plan to be considered by Baylor's Board of Regents.
