WACO -- They're a nasty critter that for many years have not caused problems in Central Texas.

But now, bed bugs have arrived.

Bugs Dot Com specializes in exterminating bed bugs and they say that in three years they went from receiving a few calls a year to one every week.

If you think you may have them, here's what you need to look for:

"Look for blood spots, tiny blood spots on pillow cases on your sheets. Pull up your mattress lips and look and make sure there's not any bugs in those areas," Bugs Dot Com President, Bob Howard said.

Since bed bugs travel by attaching to clothing, many times the bugs come from overseas or out of state on clothes and suitcases.

But there are sprays and bed coverings you can use that repel bed bugs, because exterminating them could cost between 800 and 3,000 dollars.
