WACO -- Rudy Garcia never expected a burglary like this to happen on his secluded property off of the Brazos River.
"Last thing on our mind no one, we never considered anyone coming up from the river because it's just, it seems impossible to steal what they stole here in a boat. It just it just didn't seem like that would ever happen," said Garcia.
This isn't the first time Garcia has been robbed but it is the most creative.
There's actually a trail left behind from when the thief hauled the equipment from the barn, down to the river, for a quick escape.
"Multiple items that, you know, of high value were all missing. So of course we called the police, they came out so we started researching how they got in," said Garcia.
Now after losing more than $5,000 worth of equipment, Garcia has upped security.
"We actually have additional hidden cameras out here. We have built extra security on our doors so it's, you know, you won't be able to pry it open now," said Garcia.
He said experiencing a robbery like this is upsetting.
"You feel very violated you know, because you have your property, you don't expect things like this to happen and you take every measure you can to ensure that it doesn't happen. And when it does, you're just, you know, it just floors you."
Garcia and his family are still working with investigators to find the burglar.
