COLLEGE STATION -- A retired Texas A&M mathematics professor, diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease a year and a half ago, has found a healthy way to slow the disease.
Marcia Drost is participating in a 60-day healthy eating challenge sponsored by the restaurant Ghengis Grill.
The competition started February 1st and Drost has to eat at least once a day at the restaurant.
But she says the competition is more than just about eating healthy and losing the weight, it's about inspiring others.
"They can actually see my weight loss and my progress by posting pictures and as they see those extra pounds being shed that my actions will even speak louder than the words that I put on the blog."
The competition ends April 1st and the winner is decided upon by the percentage of body fat lost and also by the number of online votes each participant gets.
