TEMPLE -- Well the wind was responsible for the wildfires in Central Texas but a church that caught was fire in Temple this morning is believed to be arson.
Police are still investigating the 2 a.m. fire at Grace Temple Ministries Church that started at the back doors of the church and fortunately didn't get far into the building before temple fire crews showed up.
Fire marshalls believe someone helped light the fire.
Bishop Dewayne McBride said the incident is the best time to come together.
"What it's actually done as you see, is caused us to come together more to find out whatever we need to do to continue to progress. The church is actually in each individual so what we're going to do is just come together and progress stronger and even do more in the community to help others in this particular situation," said McBride.
He said the kid's learning center in the church, that also serves as a day care, has suffered smoke damage but they are working to have the center up and running by tomorrow.
