WACO -- An elderly Waco man is in the hospital after crashing his vehicle into his own daycare center this morning.
78-year-old Adolph Wagner had to be pried out of his car after he backed into another vehicle drove *forward into his daycare, then reversed back into a tree.
It happened in the 300 block of Lorraine St. at Wagner's daycare center that was also his home.
Police tell us he was moving his car to allow room for parents to drop off their kids for the day.
"I think he may have meant to hit the break but he hit the gas and crashed into the garage. When he did that, that scared him so he ended up putting it in reverse, shot backwards against two lanes of traffic and crashed into a tree," said Patrick Swanton, Waco police spokesman.
There were no children inside the daycare at the time but Wagner did suffer serious injuries and was taken to Hillcrest Medical Hospital.
