FORT HOOD -- Fort Hood is turning to New Jersey for help when it comes to a record number of soldier suicides in 2010.
They are asking the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to provide a toll free, 24-hour helpline for soldiers and families at Fort Hood.
It's called vets for warriors, and it's veteran-to-veteran counseling.
The helpline is staffed by five veterans; some served in Iraq, some in Vietnam.
They are trained counselors and will be available for support over the phone and through instant messaging.
