Gas demand down, bike sales skyrocket

Gas prices are nearing four dollars a gallon, and gasoline sales are down, but a local motorcycle company says their sales are up.
Now, more people are choosing to ride fuel-efficient bikes, to save a little cash.
Business is booming, at Barger's Allsports, in Waco. Ever since gas prices started to skyrocket, so have their sales. Employee, Jim Dupree, says last month was "one of the best months that we've had in about two or three years," and they expect that trend to continue.
The average gas mileage for bikes ranges between 40 miles per gallon, all the way up to 100.
Dupree says now is a great time to consider this option, because gas prices are expected to soon reach $5.00 per gallon.
However, always seek professional advice about which bike is best for you, because safety comes first.
