WACO -- After helping 130 people get new homes in Waco, Habitat for Humanity is now asking for your help.
It's all to win money for a project they've set up to revitalize a neighborhood.

Waco is ranked 15th as of Wednesday in a nationwide race to win $25,000.

They need about 3,000 more votes to catch up.

Habitat directors say the money will help them help others. "There are folks living in Waco that have holes in their roofs and leaks that make their homes unlivable. So, we really hope this new funding will help us reach more people in the community," said Anali Gatlin at Habitat in Waco.

Waco's project involves putting in ramps for elderly and disabled homeowners. They will also be doing critical repairs for homes that need it.
