One Central Texas school is in the running for a 25,000 dollar grant.

But they need your help.

China Springs Elementary School is in the number one spot in the "Clorox Power a Bright Future" program, and it all started with one teachers hope of having an equal opportunity playground that would allow special needs children to have more access and mobility on the playground.

"This year it really just touched my heart when we were out here with those special needs kids and I saw them struggling to actually play and integrate with all the other children. They're just kind of sitting on the sidelines so I knew that we just needed to do something, and when I saw [Power a Bright Future Program] I thought that would be a perfect way to do that," Melissa Adams, a China Springs Elementary 3rd grade teacher said. Adams lead the way for the school to be nominated and now competing in the program.

As a Title One school, this is a rare opportunity for these kids.

There are 1,600 schools in the competition.
