WACO -- Anyone who lost their job because of the wildfires this year can finally get some help.
Workers in 23 counties in Texas have been approved to apply for job assistance thanks to the Texas Workforce Commission who announced an expanded presidential disaster declaration which assists those unemployed by disasters.
Hill county is one of the counties listed and the deadline to apply for assistance is October 31.
"All workforce solutions offices in the state have access to, will give access to a telephone, computer, fax machine for the purposes of applying for unemployment insurance or disaster unemployment assistance," said David Davis, Interim project director for the Heart of Texas Workforce Solutions.
