Jury selection begins in case of man who shot police officer

WACO -- Trial began today for the man accused of shooting a Waco police officer in September of 2007.

The trial is in the jury selection phase for 61-year old Noy Moten Jr. who was arrested after police responded to a domestic disturbance involving Moten and his girlfriend in the 1100 block of J.J Flewellen where he allegedly shot one of the officers.

Moten faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted capital murder.
