On Friday, Killeen Police arrested a 28-year old Killeen man on who is linked to several burglaries in the Killeen area.
Officers responded to the Rancier Mini Storage located at 1003 N. 38th St. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, when the manager found several storage units and vehicles that had been burglarized. Upon the officers arrival they spoke to the manager who showed them the surveillance video during the night. The video showed a white Jeep Cherokee that entered the gated storage facility and the occupant of the Jeep burglarized several vehicles and storage units.
Detectives with the Burglary Unit also noted that the Bell Mini Storage located at 5904 E. Veteran’s Memorial Blvd had been burglarized earlier in the week where vehicles and units had been burglarized. The detectives were actively looking for the suspect vehicle in the downtown area on January 28, 2012, when they located the white Jeep located in the 1000 block of N. 10th St. The suspect was also located along with stolen property worth several thousands of dollars. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Killeen City Jail.
This case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was issued charging Robert Lee Walker Jr. with Burglary of a Building. He is currently in the Bell County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Robert Lee Walker Jr. has also been linked to numerous burglaries of motor vehicles, burglaries of buildings and felony Criminal Mischiefs.
