Killeen Police nab alleged Dollar Store robbers

Killeen Police arrested two Killeen men on Sunday after a robbery had been reported in the 1500 block of E. Elms Rd.
Officers responded to 1501 E. Elms Rd. after a 911 call was received telling them that a 19 year old male had just been robbed in the parking lot. The victim advised a black male wearing a blue ball cap and a white shirt approached him as he was getting into his vehicle at the Dollar General Store. The suspect demanded the victim’s belongings and left after getting into the passenger side of a Red Chevy Cobalt. An officer responding to the area saw a red Chevy Cobalt in the area of Stan Schlueter Blvd and W.S. Young Dr; the vehicle was traveling south on W.S. Young. Officers stopped the vehicle in the 3100 block of Schottische Dr. and detained the two black males inside the vehicle. Through the investigation it was determined this was the vehicle and suspects involved in the earlier robbery.
This case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office on Monday, June 13, 2011 and complaints were returned charging 20 year old Delano Demon Sanders II and 21 year old Xavier Deandre Felton-Stevens with Aggravated Robbery. The suspects were arraigned today, June 14, 2011, and Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin issued a $100,000 bond for each suspect. They will be transferred to the Bell County Jail later Tuesday.
