BRYAN -- The hunt is on tonight for three armed men, after a local jewelry store is robbed at just hours ago.

It happened in Bryan at the Joyeria Jewelry Store in the 13-hundred block of William J. Bryan

Police tell us three Hispanic males, armed with a weapon, ran into the store demanding money and hit the store owner.

The suspects stole money and merchandise and ran off but not before the store owner fired off a shot at their get-a-way car.

"We have our criminal investigation and crime scene unit working the case right now in conjunction with patrol for collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and trying to get as much information as possible but right now we need to give them a chance to do their job," said Officer Jon Agnew, with the Bryan Police Department.

The store owner's injuries are non-life threatening but those suspects are on the run tonight.

If you have any information please call crime stoppers or the Bryan police immediately.
