WACO -- A man was caught on tape Sunday night, casually stealing tons of equipment from one local business.

Tom Panter owns the home theater and surveillance company that was burglarized.

So, setting up cameras around his store as soon as he moved buildings last month was his first priority.

After one man is caught on camera stealing more than $2,000 worth of equipment, Panter says the system has already paid for itself.

"It just wasn't the materials that you took. It was so much more than that. It was the stop of work, rescheduling, reordering of the materials that he took, and it's also a feeling of intrusion," said Panter.

Panter is redoing the building to accommodate his new store that makes cars wheel chair accessible.

The cameras caught the man's face, vehicle and license plate. Panter now says it's only a matter of time before the theif is caught.
