COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M will soon be home to a very important piece of U.S. history, the NASA shuttle motion simulator.

The simulator, which has trained over 350 astronauts for all 135 space shuttle missions, is expected to land in College Station this January with another shipment in June.

The simulator will be kept up and running so students, faculty and staff can use it for educational purposes and research activities.

Texas A&M plans to have the simulator up and running by 2013.

This will be the only major piece of the shuttle program that remains in Texas.
