COLLEGE STATION -- Most of us assume all taxis are yellow but some customers in College Station are finding out that isn't the case any more.

One of Maroon Cab's cars has a new paint job thanks to "Fast Signs."

It's now pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

It stands out not only because of its color but because if you're one of the lucky customers, your ride will be free.

If you get picked up in the pink car you won't be charged a fee.

Instead, you'll be asked to donate what you can to the American Cancer Society.

"We want it to be a random thing, kind of a surprise. Something that is special, an event. You know, when the car arrives or you call your taxi and you're not necessarily expecting this car to show up but it does and when it shows up you're excited about it and ready to ride. You know that you have the opportunity to donate and you have an opportunity to be apart of something bigger than yourself," said Jason Adams, owner of Maroon Cab.

The free rides will happen all throughout the month of October but Adams said Maroon Cab is contemplating keeping the car pink for the entire year.

Donations will go straight to the American Cancer Society and to donate you either text or go online, Maroon Cab won't handle any of the money.
