WACO -- Waco police are investigating a bazaar scene in which witnesses say cars crashed, shots were fired and then everyone disappeared.

It happened a little after midnight Thursday near the intersection of Bell and Bagby.

Witnesses called police when the gun shots began and said they saw multiple people on the ground outside.

But once officers got to the scene everyone was gone.

"All we can tell is there appeared to be some type of disturbance. Whether it was over the car crash, or whether it was intentional ramming of cars, some of the individuals got out and got into a disturbance and somebody pulled a weapon and started shooting," Sgt. Patrick Swanton with the Waco Police Department said.

At this time police are unsure how many cars, people and weapons were involved.

But thankfully, no one in the neighborhood was hurt.
