FORT HOOD -- Maj. Nidal Hasan should get his mental evaluation this week.
The army psychiatrist is charged in last year's shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
The defense attorney for Hasan says Hasan will be evaluated by a military mental health panel.
They will evaluate the day of the shooting and whether or not Hasan is competent to stand trial.
Army Col. Pohl has given his recommendations for Hasan to be court martialed after being charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.
