Teacher accused of sexual misconduct with student walks free
Former elementary teacher Patricia Rush is free to walk after a McLennan County judge declared a mistrial.
Rush was found not guilty on 10 of 18 counts Monday morning.
The 38-year old Hallsburg P.E. teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year old sixth grade student back in 2006 and 2007.
The jury could not reach an agreement on the other 8 counts, so the judge declared a mistrial.
Rush is free for now, but her trial has been reset for April on the remaining eight counts.
