WACO -- One championship down, one more to go.
It's been a hot year for the lone star state.
"I really hope we get a title," said Cody Comiskey, a Baylor graduate student, "I mean, Dallas Mavericks won it this year and then the Rangers winning the same year I mean that's just awesome for Dallas."
And for central Texas Ranger fans, nothing is more exciting than playing baseball deep into October.
"Well with the Tigers we had a really great turnout," said Megan Biswurm, manager at George's, "And we're just expecting as the week goes on, things to get bigger and better, people to get even more excited. everybody's getting really hyped up, ready to come out and support the rangers."
From the first pitch to the final champagne shower the Waco community knows game time is play time.
"It's been really exciting just seeing the crowds come out and get unified. All fighting for the same thing," said Biswurm.
"I'm really confident in our team. We've been really hot since September. One of the best teams in MLB, so I'm really excited," said Comiskey.
The Rangers may be hot, but beating the Cardinals will be no easy task.
"The pitching is strong and they've been hot as well. Obviously beating the Phillies, the best team in baseball, then beating the Brewers at home," said Comiskey.
And a World Series win over that strong St. Louis rotation would just be icing on the cake.
