BRAZOS COUNTY -- Law enforcement agencies will be out in force as they round up anyone with an outstanding warrant.
Today law enforcement agencies in Brazos County gathered to kick-off the "Great Texas warrant roundup."
It begins February 25th and during the roundup over 200 different agencies in the state of Texas will be looking for people who have active warrants.
Brazos County sheriff, Chris Kirk, says it's important to find these people because there are millions of dollars in unpaid fines.
"They will be visiting their residences, they will be visiting their work places and this will happen during work time and at night so with every opportunity we're going to search for these people."
Sheriff Kirk says if you have a warrant out for your arrest you should go ahead and turn yourself in now and pay the fine instead of waiting for an officer to come and arrest you.
