WACO -- Three armed robberies Thursday night in Waco. Now the count is up from 14 to 17 in just a few weeks.
The Family Dollar at 800 LaSalle was robbed just after 6:00 p.m. Victims told Fox 44 the robber came in, pointed a gun but before he could get any money, got nervous and ran away.
Minutes later, Braids and Fades hair salon on Waco Dr. was hit. The suspect description was the same as the Family Dollar robber.
Police say he was a black man in his mid 20s, medium build and covering his face.
He had a black, semi-automatic handgun.
Then, around 10:30 p.m., the 25th Street Smoke Shop was robbed.
That victim tells us the man came in, put the gun to his stomach and took his money.
Police haven't made any arrests yet in the robberies but say some could be related.
