Train conductor falls to his death in Grimes County

NAVASOTA -- A train conductor is dead tonight after falling from a train in Grimes County.
Officials say the 41-year old had left the engine room to check fuel levels and as he was leaning over the edge of the rails he was struck by a crossbeam on the Navasota Bridge, throwing him fifty feet.
Officials found his body near Highway 105 along the Navasota River.
His name has not been released.
