WACO -- University High School students in Waco answered younger children's wishes this Christmas.

Kids at Waco ISD elementary schools wrote letters to the University High Schoolers saying what they would do if they had $100.

Some of the wishes were for money to help pay rent or for food. Others asked for gifts for family and friends.

The groups answered those wishes, touching students and parents' hearts.

"It's really tough times out there so it was great to help the wishes get answered," said one JROTC member.

About five students were chosen from each school in the district to have their letters and wishes answered.
