WACO -- Five months, 5 public forums and now, 10 days until the final decision.
Waco ISD Superintendent Bonnie Cain released her proposal Friday night for school closings and consolidations.
Tomorrow Dr. Cain will formally present her proposal at another public forum so you can weigh in before the final decision.
But Waco ISD knows the proposal isn't the golden ticket.
"As in any proposal, not everybody is going to be happy. This is not going to please everybody. But it's something the superintendent thinks has to be done is order to quit spending money wastefully on too many buildings so that we have more to put into academic programming," Waco ISD spokesperson Dale Caffey said.
Potentially seven schools could close if this plan stays the same including A.J. Moore Academy.
But the final decision will be made Thursday, February 23rd.
