Waco Officers responded to a possible robbery Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of South 14th Street .
Officers stopped an individual matching the suspect description. During the investigation, it was discovered that an actually robbery had not occurred, but the suspect threatened a person with a gun.
Officers arrested 19-year-old Kavin DeWayne Diggs. Police found in his possession a handgun, cocaine and marijuana. Diggs was also wanted for several warrants to include a prior aggravated assault.
During the arrest, Diggs refused to get in the police vehicle and spit in the faces of several of the officers who were attempting to put him in the car. He was charged with the following: unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance , possession of marijuana, terroristic threat, two counts of assault on a police officer, aggravated assault and traffic warrants.
