Waco murder suspect caught in Dallas apartment complex

On December 28th, the Special Crimes Unit of WPD was contacted by Dallas PD-Homicide regarding information they had received indicating that JERMAINE LAMAR JONES, B/M, 06-10-1981 was possibly in Dallas attempting to elude apprehension on the Waco PD arrest warrant.

An arrest warrant had been issued for JERMAINE JONES on December 16th, for the murder of Cedric Robinson. The offense occurred at 1006 Adams on December 13th.

Detectives from the WPD Special Crimes Unit worked in conjunction with Dallas PD-Homicide Detectives and by late Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 28th), JERMAINE JONES was arrested at an apartment complex in Dallas. Dallas Police Department was very helpful and instrumental in the arrest of Jones.
The U. S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force assisted with the apprehension of Jones.

On December 29th, a detective from the WPD-Special Crimes Unit traveled to Dallas to follow up on the arrest.
