U.S. Marshals arrested Waco resident Tomas Ramirez, 35, in Birmingham, Alabama on July 28 on seven counts of aggravated sexual assault.

The charges stem from an initial report filed by a known acquaintance of Ramirez who reported the abuse. Ramirez left the Waco area shortly after the investigation began.

The seven victim’s ages, all of whom are acquaintances, range from 7 to 10 years-old at the time the assaults started. The incidents began in the early 90’s. The Waco Police Department was made aware when one of the victims reported the abuse on June 28, 2010.

Ramirez has been charged with seven counts of aggravated sexual assault. He has been booked into the McLennan County Jail, and his bond has been set at $250,000 for each count.
