WACO -- A Waco woman is allegedly held against her will for two days while her attacker sexually assaulted her repeatedly.
Police have now arrested 36-year-old Darryl Williams for aggravated sexual assault.
It happened Jan. 2 when the woman got a ride to a friends home in West Waco. Once there, she says Williams held her against her will and sexually assaulted her.
The woman finally escaped Tuesday and ran to some nearby apartments to call police.
Domestic violence expert, Kathy Reid, say this, unfortunately, is not a rare occurrence.
"Our counselors see people who have gone through those kinds of things for a long time because when someone's been sexually assaulted like that and had that kind of trauma, generally they have post traumatic stress syndrome. So, they're going to need a lot of time and a lot of therapy," said Reid.
Police arrested Williams at the house where he held the woman. He is now in McLennan County Jail.
