KILLEEN -- A woman who intentionally burned her 3-month old baby with a curling iron is now in jail.

This after police received a call from Child Protective Services saying the mother Jasmine Janae Morris, 18, brought the child in saying she harmed her and didn't want her anymore.

"The officers got there, saw that the child had been burned and spoke with the mother. And at that time she was taken into custody. The (District Attorney's) office reviewed the paper work and issued a complaint for injury to a child," Carroll Smith with the Killeen Police said.

Morris was transferred to Bell County Jail just a few hours ago. Her bail is set at 100,000 dollars.

The transition is elssntialey complete. I have added a very nice source of rainfall data for western PR. You will find it under the menu under Miradero Rain Gauge Network. The data set includes 28 rain gauges located within a very small area (4 km x 4 km) and now includes 5 years worth of data.
