Fort Hood, TX — It has been almost three and a half years since the Fort Hood shootings that claimed the life of 13 people.
And now it seems as if the trial is set to begin this summer.
In a pre-trial hearing yesterday, the jury selection and testimony start dates were set.
The new presiding judge, Colonel Tara Osborn, said testimony in the trial will begin July 1.
Major Nidal Hasan is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the fatal shootings on November 5, 2009.
The trial was supposed to start last summer but was delayed when Hasan grew a beard for religious reasons.
