Poker machines, drugs seized from Waco convenience store

The McGregor Police Department, with the help of Woodway PD and the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, busted a local convenience store for it's gambling machines.

And now the owner is behind bars.

Yesterday, authorities raided the Outlet Tobacco store at 3528 North 19th Street in Waco.

They seized 11 eight-liner slot machines, which officials say were being used illegally for a cash payout system.

Police arrested the owner, Nabil Hakim, 64, who owns multiple stores in Waco.

Hakim is expected to face multiple charges including money laundering and possession of a controlled substance among others.

He is currently in McLennan County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
