(WACO) — If you enjoy the fresh taste of homegrown vegetables, you won’t want to miss a special workshop series hosted by Texas State Technical College.
“Introduction to Vegetable Gardening & Healthy Soil” will cover a variety of topics, from plant nutrition and fertilization, to soil properties, composting and selection of vegetables. Cost is just $50 and includes course materials; soil, seeds and containers; and use of gardening tools.
Classes will be held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 18 and 25 and March 3 and 10. Registration deadline is Saturday, Feb. 11; registration and payment are required in advance.
In addition to learning the best practices for growing fresh vegetables, those attending can earn 1.2 hours of Continuing Education Credits.
