Waco, Tx — A fourth Target employee has been arrested and charged with theft for allegedly stealing from her employer in December 2012.
Christal Valdez was booked on theft charges greater than $1,500 but less than $20,000. She has since posted bond.
Three other Waco employees of Target, located on Bosque Boulevard, were charged with theft in January, after the store’s loss prevention team discovered internal thefts were occurring.
On January 15, Waco Police Department received reports from a loss prevention manager at Target that Devonte Rayshun Jones, Rosario Milagros Maldonado, and Tasheka Deanna Amos had been stealing money and property from the store. There were possibly some items that the three were not ringing up. Waco PD then issued warrants for each of their arrests.
Amos turned herself in on January 22. Maldonado also turned herself in on January 22.
Police believe “some of the employees may have been acting together on these thefts,” said Sergeant Patrick Swanton, Waco Police spokesman.
At this time, it is unclear if all of the theft cases are linked.
