A Central Texas dentist will be spreading free smiles this upcoming Friday, as he hosts his second annual Dentistry From the Heart event.

Dr. Johnson of Acre Wood Dental in Bellmead will provide a free day of dental care to more than 100 residents on February 8. Patients will be able to choose between a free extraction, filling, or cleaning, beginning as early as 7 a.m. Johnson will be donating more than $25,000 in free dental care.

"A lot of these people can't afford dental care, and they can't, you know, it's something that's a luxury. And so, for dentists to be able to give back, they said was really really cool," said Daniel Johnson, Marketing Director of Acre Wood Dental.

Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that provides free dental work for those in need. In the past nine years, Dentistry From The Heart events have contributed more than $8 million in free dentistry and helped more than 45,000 patients across the country.
